Sam-e or Vitamin b for depression and nerves?

For the past year and a half my nerves, stress, and depression have been getting worse. Going to my doctor, he said that I could try something natural first. I decided to take Sam-e with a vitamin b supplement. Now, I feel like I’m not as emotional as I use to be. I liked being emotional, but without the nerves and stress. I don’t seem to care about things as much as I use to. It’s not a huge difference, but I still don’t feel as much like myself. Would a supplement of just vitamin b help my depression without messing with my emotions and such?
