How long for Vitamin A and acne?

I have been struggling with acne now for awhile. I have been taking Vitamin A supplements to try to clear it up, and its helped some but not much. I am taking 8000 IU in doses of 3-6 pills daily.I am doing this now instead of accutane due to the severe effects accutane brings many people Many people have done this and it has worked so well for them. How long does it take? I want clear skin soon! Am i taking too little or too much? and when will i see major results?

the bottle on the back normally tells you how much to take. But theirs more then just taking supplements. You got to wash your face with soap and warm water daily and eat less greasy foods. It also depends on how stress you get to.
